Gather your family and friends and join us on Saturday, August 31 (Labor Day weekend) at Alum Creek Park North in Westerville, Ohio for a family friendly event that includes a 1 mile walk, 5k walk/run, 10k run and a FREE Kids Donut Dash! All participants will receive high quality swag and most importantly a freshly baked donut of their choosing at the finish line.

All 1mi, 5k and 10k participants will receive a freshly baked donut, finish line photos, very soft ring spun blended shirts, finisher medals (amazing full color custom diecast medals for the first 500 to register, custom race bibs, a chip timed race, instant results, snacks, fruit, refreshments, beautiful race course in downtown Westerville and along Alum Creek, photo opp in front of a 25 foot tall inflatable donut and more!
Kids Donut Dash participants will have their choice to receive swag during registration however all participants will receive a donut including those who sign up for the free race!

The Kids Donut Dash will start first at 9:00am and at 9:15am the 1mi, 5k & 10k participants will begin.

Course Details:
Every race will start and finish at the exact same line at Alum Creek Park North on the paved main road/driveway into the park. Participants will not be on any open roads. All routes will be on paved trails and the paved sidewalk crossing Main St bridge near the start/finish. See below for course maps:

Kids Donut Dash: 100 meter dash ending at the inflatable start/finish line for the 1mi/5k/10k race.
Awards:
Everyone in the 1mi, 5k and 10k will receive a finishers medal. Kids Donut Dash participants will also have the option to receive a finishers medal, shirt and race bib.
Age groups are as follows for the 1mi, 5k and 10k and results will be posted with age groups but there will not be an awards ceremony.
9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89 & 90+
All Kids Donut Dash participants will receive a donut!
Event Site and Parking Information:
The entrance/driveway to Alum Creek Park North will be closed as that is where the start and finish line will be located. The address listed above in the registration section will take you to the park entrance however the address below will take you to the old Westerville senior center. That is where we recommend all participants park for the race as it is across the road from the park. There also is street parking available around Otterbein University however please be sure to check signs so that you are not parked illegally.

Additional Information:
This run will be chip timed and it is very important that you visibly wear your bib on the front of your chest/body when crossing the start and finish line to ensure an accurate race time.
This is a dog friendly event however dogs must be on a leash and to avoid tripping at the start line we recommend anyone with a dog starts after the main group has begun. We will have a bowl for dogs setup at the finish line!
Anyone who wants to start the race after the main group has begun the run is more than welcome to and your time will still be accurate.
We do allow strollers at this event.
Headphones/iPod/mp3 devices are allowed, though are strongly not recommended. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear and detect present or potential hazards and dangers as well as verbal instructions from course marshals.
If at any time you or someone else on course is in need of assistance throughout the run please notify a course marshal or dial 911 in case of an emergency and then please let the closest course marshal know as well.
The run will start rain, snow or shine. The run could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions. The above schedule is weather-dependent.
Virtual Race Information:
The race is in person however we will offer offer a virtual as well.
Everyone signing up for the virtual race will receive an event shirt, custom medal and race custom bib.
A Virtual 5K (or any other virtual race distance) is a race that you choose to complete wherever and whenever you would like. You can walk, run, or use a treadmill. The beauty of a virtual race is that you can run the race at your pace and at your convenience.
It is not required to report your time however if you would like your race time posted you must email us no later than two days after the actual race. You can self report and post your time for the race up to one month after the race.
